Effective 4am on Wednesday 15 December, South Africa will be removed from the red list. This means all non-UK citizens, non-Irish citizens and non-permanent holders will ALSO be allowed into the UK. Here are the entry requirements: Fully vaccinated South Africans can travel to the United Kingdom with: - COVID-19 test is required 2 days before you travel to the UK
- Book and pay for a COVID-19 PCR test – to be taken after you arrive in the UK
- Passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in the UK
Quarantine on arrival is required until you receive a negative test result! A list of approved vaccines can be found HERE. Eligible travellers vaccinated in over 37 new countries and territories including South Africa, will also be treated the same as returning fully vaccinated UK residents, so long as they have not visited a red list country or territory in the 10 days before arriving in England - If you have been in a red list country or territory in the 10 days before you arrive in England, you must follow the red list rules.
